HLA-A29-positive chorioretinopathy in a non-Caucasian patient: birdshot or variant?

      A 17-year-old African woman was referred with an incidental finding of multiple hyperpigmented lesions in the peripheral retina of both eyes. She denied floaters, photophobia, or nyctalopia. There were no associated systemic symptoms.
