Cited in Scopus: 0Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare cutaneous sarcoma that constitutes 1% of all soft tissue sarcomas and <0.1% of all malignancies.1,2 The distinguishing features are slow growth, local aggressiveness, low metastatic potential, and elevated rates of local recurrences.1,2 The tumour occurs on the trunk, particularly on the chest and shoulders, in 40%–50% of cases; on the proximal parts of the limbs in 30%–40% of cases; and on the scalp, cheeks, and supraclavicular area in 10%–15% of patients.
